Eric Gilbert, PSS’ Founder

Eric is a trusted business advisor with three decades of experience as both consultant and startup leader. In serving clients, he leverages his extensive strategy consulting and implementation assistance training as an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company. While his experience spans a wide range of industries, he has worked extensively in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, IT, consumer/retail and service verticals. Eric’s expertise includes high-value, complex M&A transactions, product strategy, revenue growth and operational disciplines. A natural born problem solver, Eric is driven to help organizations overcome their most pressing challenges. He is a critical thinker and straight-talking pragmatist who delivers solutions that work.

Specific Expertise:
  • Collaborative and strategic seasoned life science strategy consultant with extensive orphan drug clinical development, regulatory and commercial experience.
  • He has hands-on experience with clinical development, prioritizing assets and commercializing therapeutics for well-defined rare disease conditions and “orphan subsets”.
  • A former McKinsey Engagement Manager with directly-applicable experience helping global biopharmaceutical companies maximize value of orphan/rare disease therapeutics, including developing clinical & regulatory strategies for early to pivotal clinical trials and designing comprehensive life cycle management strategies to expand indications for in-line products.
  • Relationship-driven manager with specialization developing cross-functional teams to objectively prioritize competing development priorities, establish & manage Program Management Offices (PMOs) and help deliver actionable recommendations that drive organizational impact.
